Laura is head of sales management supporting the wealth managers with business development and the client journey.

Previously, Laura worked on building the Snowball fund as head of marketing. Before that, she was head of marketing and business development for Withersworldwide.

Passionate about building the “impact economy, Laura believes the transition to a sustainable economy must happen equitably. She is Trustee of the Digital Opportunity Trust and is part of the finance strand of the London Doughnut Economics Coalition – all of which focus on participatory approaches and community-led new economics. She is Director of The Impact Branch which makes impact investments in the North East of England. She was recognised as one of NatWest and Pioneers Post Top 100 Women in Social Enterprise.

Outside work, a good weekend will include coffee, yoga, deep chats, time with Oscar and Amelie, wine and going to a gig.

My favourite project I’ve worked on so far…

In 2018, I completed a year-long programme on solutions to social inequity. A standout experience was a consulting project where we flipped the brief to instead speak directly with 400 local younger people about what they would design. It was a powerful grounding in unlocking citizen ideas.

Laura’s values are most closely aligned to sustainable communities. In particular, Laura aligns with Goal 17 (Partnerships for the goals) – she believes that social and environmental challenges are interconnected, and therefore need connected solutions.

Laura is interested in systemic solutions which address potential root causes of social inequity and environmental breakdown. She is engaged in the idea that the finance system can collaborate together to contribute to a fairer and sustainable economy.
