Fred is the Chief Investment Officer at Tribe. He has lead responsibility for portfolio construction and financial performance. He chairs the Investment Committee, while also taking an active role in direct stock analysis.
Fred brings more than twenty-five years of investment and fund management experience. He was top ranked by Institutional Investor in both equities and leveraged finance while at JP Morgan and Credit Suisse, before moving to the buy side where he was Head of Research for Global Leverage Finance at Bluebay Asset Management. He was subsequently CIO and Partner at Digital World Capital, a fund managing long/short global equities and credit.
Outside of work, Fred is also an active angel investor in a number of impact businesses and has extensive experience as a non-executive director in the media space. He loves to play tennis and golf with his family while trying to maintain his own level.

Fred believes that corporate stakeholders – customers, suppliers, employees – understand that ignoring negative environmental externalities is a growing business risk, both reputationally and operationally, and the investment community in turn is beginning to realise this could influence the cost of and access to capital.
