CIO conversations - Climate and biodiversity progress
Q4 2024 saw three major climate events shape the global sustainability agenda. COP29 called on financial markets to support the flow of capital to emerging economies battling climate adaptation and mitigation. COP16 achieved a key milestone with the creation of the Cali Fund to protect biodiversity. Discussions on the Global Plastics Treaty, though pushed to 2025, reinforced the importance of the circular economy. These events are creating real opportunities for Tribe portfolios, particularly in areas like carbon markets, evolving regulations, and identifying companies leading the way in sustainability.
Listen to our chief impact officer, Amy Clarke, unpack each of the three events and what the implications may be for Tribe portfolios looking forward.
