6,000 bottles of water.

Beef production is very water intensive. Producing just one kilogram of beef requires over 15,000 litres of water.[1] Meaning, 3,000 litres of water are needed to produce one 200-gram dinner steak. This is equal to 6,000 bottles of water (at 500 millilitres per bottle).

The intersectionality between water, the environment, food, and human health provides investors with a range of investment opportunities which can help tackle ecosystem decline, poverty and inequalities, carbon emissions, health issues and more.

Matter of Facts are small insights into inspiring sustainable solutions.
