TRIBE IMPACT CAPITAL LLP ACQUIRES SNOWBALL IMPACT MANAGEMENT LTD, ADDING PRIVATE MARKETS IMPACT INVESTING OFFERING
In a strategic move responding to the opportunity for market consolidation, Tribe expands impact offer with the Snowball fund as part of continued commitment to reshape the future of investing.
17:00 London, 13 May 2025 – Tribe Impact Capital LLP (“Tribe”), a multi award-winning dedicated impact wealth manager, today announces the acquisition of Snowball Impact Management Ltd (“Snowball”), a respected multi-asset impact fund with a strong presence in private markets.
This strategic acquisition enhances Tribe’s already established wealth management business by adding specialist private market capabilities for professional investors. The transaction involves 100 percent ownership of Snowball by Tribe with existing members from both Tribe and Snowball remaining invested.
Founded by Alexander Hoare, Golden Bottle Trust and James Perry, Panahpur, together with other mission-led asset owners including Skagen Conscience Capital and Friends Provident Foundation, Snowball has earned a reputation as a leader in the integration of impact, risk and return across asset classes. The addition of the Snowball fund brings additional scale and diversification to Tribe’s impact proposition.
The move builds on Tribe’s position as a market leader in impact wealth management by enabling the firm to meet accelerating demand with a comprehensive impact investment offer, spanning both public and private markets.
Tribe and Snowball share a strong cultural alignment as two of the UK’s leading B Corporations. They were both founded on the same idea: to help investors achieve long-term financial returns together with positive social and environmental outcomes. They share a vision of changing the wider industry for good.
Tribe Co-Founder and Chair, David Scott, commented:
“This acquisition represents a pivotal moment in our journey. By bringing a respected name like Snowball into Tribe, we expand our reach in private markets and reinforce our commitment to move money in support of the UN SDGs. We continue to grow through extraordinary market conditions and we’re proud to be setting a new benchmark for what impact-led wealth management can achieve.”
Alexander Hoare, Co-Founder and Chair of Snowball, added:
“Snowball’s goal was always to make positive impact part of the future of all investing. By bringing together complementary strengths we are creating a much broader and stronger offering which will help clients who would like simpler and robust access to investments which integrate impact, risk and return. I am delighted that Golden Bottle Trust is reinvesting to become a major shareholder in Tribe, joining other investors who have recognised it is possible to target both financial performance and measurable progress for society.”
The acquisition is subject to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) approval.
